Our Pal's Place

Its mission is to rescue dogs from euthanasia at local animal control shelters. When entering the shelter, OPP's staff first meets the dogs who have a “death date." If they believe they can find the dog a good home, they pull the dog from the shelter into their organization. They provide the dogs food, housing, love, attention, and any necessary rehabilitation. The dogs receive full veterinary care and are spay/neutered. Meanwhile, OPP works to find these orphaned dogs a loving, permanent home. Potential adopters must complete an adoption application, meet with a eirector of the organization, and agree to a scheduled home visit. 

OPP also works directly with individuals who have specific qualifications they are seeking in an animal companion. As OPP goes into local animal control shelters, they look for a dog who has these characteristics and they also contact other rescue groups.
