Since the pet food recall of this past spring the cupboard at Benicia Vallejo Humane Society (Vallejo, California 94590) has run bare. The animals at the shelter are in need of supplies and food.
In a reverse Trick or Treat — “Sit Up & Beg” — that’s what the animals will do for people.
BVHS is in need of supplies and food for the animals:
- Advantage and Frontline (any size)
- Dog and cat food (meat based)
- Canned sardines (in water)
- Olive oil (First Cold Pressed)
- Dog and cat Kong toys (any size)
Please drop treats off for the animals on Wednesday, October 31, 2007, from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm.

The mission of the Benicia Vallejo Humane Society (a California non-profit) is to offer refuge, medical care, nourishment and an opportunity for a second chance for life to unwanted animals; to protect animals from cruelty, neglect, carelessness and ignorance; to foster a public sentiment of humanity and gentleness toward all animals through education and encouragement; and to promote the lifelong commitment of responsible pet ownership.
