Puppy Mill Dogs Go Home

As you've likely heard, PAWS (Lynwood, Washington 98087) took in 34 of the 371 dogs and puppies rescued from a horrendous puppy mill near Kennewick, Washington last month.

Once at PAWS, these dogs -- all American Eskimo dogs or mixes of the breed -- finally received the love and care they deserve, but that they had been without for their entire lives until now. Joyfully, 11 dogs have already gone to their new permanent homes, after spending time in foster care, and receiving medical attention and grooming, vaccinations and spay and neuter surgeries.

Thanks to the gentle care of PAWS‚ staff and volunteers, several more of the dogs are available for adoption and we‚re looking for the right homes for these special needs pups. If you are interested in adopting, first read more about the reality of providing a home for a dog rescued from a puppy mill, then download a Dog Adopter Survey from the Adoption Process page to complete and either bring it into PAWS' shelter in Lynnwood (hours and directions) or fax it to 425.742.5711, attention to puppy mill adoptions. This will not guarantee an adoption hold on a puppy mill dog, but will begin the process.

Even if you can't adopt one of these dogs, you can still help by adopting another homeless dog or cat, becoming a foster volunteer, or making a donation today. Thank you for your compassion!
