Kirkland Signature Lamb and Rice canned dog food is included in this recall

May 15, 2007

American Nutrition, in cooperation with the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA), is conducting a voluntary recall of products containing rice protein concentrate potentially contaminated by melamine, an industrial chemical which may prove harmful to animals if consumed.

Kirkland Signature Lamb and Rice canned dog food is included in this recall. It is sold as part of the Kirkland Signature Premium Dog Food 2-Flavor Variety Pack, item #38436, with a specific code on the package which reads, “Best if used by Apr 15 09.”

Please stop using this food with those codes immediately and return the dog food to any Costco warehouse for a full refund.
