Adoptable Pet of the Day: Jake

— filed under:

Jake is a 3-year-old male mixed breed dog available for adoption from Franklin County Dog Shelter (Columbus, Ohio 43207).

April 7, 2009

Hopelessly devoted to the person who will claim his as their own. Jake's had a rough year, being abandoned by his family in the frigid weeks before Christmas and then refusing help until he was too weak to survive on his own and was able to be touched. He's learned to trust and love again and will make an incredible addition to a single person or couple looking for a low maintenance addition. He is crate trained but doesn’t need to be crated. He is housebroken, good with most other dogs although he would be perfectly content to be your one and only, and may be 'part cat' as he prefers to sleep on the back of the couch.

PetWork note: Some lucky pets may already have found their forever homes by the time you meet them here, but don't worry. There are plenty of other wonderful pets who would be happy to share your home and love you to pieces.
