Adoptable Pet of the Day: Pom Pom

— filed under:

Pom Pom is a female Pomeranian available for adoption from Rawhide Rescue (Warren, New Jersey 07059).

February 22, 2009

Pom Pom was recently rescued from the Lancaster Puppy Mills. She is between 4 and 6 years old and weighs about 8 pounds. She has only known a life in a cage and was bred several times to produce puppies for sale at local pet stores. She is getting used to human touch and even wags her tail when she sees her foster mom.

Pom Pom will lay on your lap as long as you let her. She knows how to use a Wee Wee pad and goes outside but will need a fenced in yard because she has not been trained to walk on a leash yet. She is very quiet but as she has come out of her shell, has barked a few times. She loves other dogs and wants to play with them. She will make someone a great dog but it will take a lot of patience as she is trying to learn to trust humans.

Pom Pom's home will require a fenced in yard, another canine companion, and all children must be over the age of 16.

PetWork note: Some lucky pets may already have found their forever homes by the time you meet them here, but don't worry. There are plenty of other wonderful pets who would be happy to share your home and love you to pieces.
