Adoptable Pet of the Day: Stripes

— filed under:

Stripes is a tender, affectionate female American Staffordshire Terrier/Labrador Retriever mix available for adoption from Wenatchee Valley Humane Society (Wenatchee, Washington 98801).

February 9, 2009

Stripes is a very tender affectionate gal!! She is 2 to 3 years old and weighs 44 to 45 pounds. Stripes is a very gentle-hearted gal who seeks you out for comfort and love. She is a little insecure when it comes to new things and people and approaches them with a small tail wag and a tender smile. She will do great in a home that will take her to obedience training to help boost her self confidence and to show her that the world is not such a scary place.

Stripes is good with other dogs, but unsure how to play with them. She is very patient and submissive with them. She is learning to walk on a leash and knows the command 'sit.' She has a very adorable face that is expressive with all her wrinkles. Stripes will make a wonderful dog for a couch potato or a bed warmer to snuggle in with at night.

PetWork note: Some lucky pets may already have found their forever homes by the time you meet them here, but don't worry. There are plenty of other wonderful pets who would be happy to share your home and love you to pieces.
