Adoptable Pet of the Day: Rossi

This lovable fella is Rossi, and he has just celebrated his first birthday! This sweet pit mix found himself back with Rawhide Rescue when his family had a change in job circumstances, and now he is once again looking for a forever home. When he was first with the rescue as a young pup, his foster mom reported that he had “a personality you are sure to love.” Well, he certainly still has it! His former owner, who gave him up with great sadness, describes him as “happy-go-lucky” and that is exactly what Rawhide Rescue has seen this time around. He is full of energy and zest for life, just as a youngster should be!

Don't let Rossi's charming pictures fool you though. He is cute and cuddly, yes, but he is also young, strong, and ready to push you if you let him. He will need training with an experienced hand and plenty of regular exercise. He would benefit enormously from a doggie training course, since he will need to learn more about his rules, boundaries, and limitations, as Cesar says! He already knows "sit" and the rescue thinks he will soak up additional training very quickly. Rossi can get a bit rowdy upon first meeting new dogs and may play rough, so he would need to meet any potential canine housemate first to make sure of a good match. Rawhide Rescue has no doubt that Rossi will be a fun and loyal companion for the person or family willing to give him the training, exercise, and love he deserves. Rossi is housetrained, crate trained, neutered, up to date on shots, and ready to start a new adventure!

Rawhide Rescue has successfully adopted over 400 pit bulls and pit bull mixes into families since 2001. All of its dogs are fully temperament tested, neutered, and properly socialized.
