Adoptable Pet of the Day: Dilly
Dilly is a quiet female Dachshund available for adoption from a Minneapolis, Minnesota foster home of the Coast to Coast Dachshund Rescue.
July 5, 2009
Dilly is a special little dachshund who loves to sit on the couch and cuddle with her special person. She sometimes follows her person from room to room and is content lying at her feet. Dilly is very quiet and rarely barks, and she will go potty either outside or inside on a potty pad. She seems to really enjoy short walks. Although there is another dachshund in her foster home, Dilly has not paid much attention; it seemed at first that she was frightened by the other dog. She should be OK in a home with another small dog as long as that dog is friendly and gentle.
Almost nothing is known about Dilly's earlier life. She is extremely fearful and may have been mistreated by her former owners. Another possibility is that she was used for breeding (backyard breeder or puppy mill) and never received proper socialization as a young dog. Dilly needs a quiet home with someone who has a lot of love and patience to deal with a traumatized dog.

PetWork note: Some lucky pets may already have found their forever homes by the time you meet them here, but don't worry. There are plenty of other wonderful pets who would be happy to share your home and love you to pieces.
