Adoptable Senior: Doogie
Doogie is an older male Beagle available for adoption from The Partnership for Animal Welfare (Greenbelt, Maryland 20768).
April 1, 2009
Poor Doogie was kept outside in a pen all his life. He would get so excited when his family came home, hoping they would take him out of the pen and play with him. But they just ignored him and went into the house.
Despite the lack of much human interaction and his life spent outdoors, Doogie is very social and adjusting well to indoor living. He is loving the human attention and cuddling he gets in his foster home, and being part of a pack with two other dogs. His favorite activities are sniffing in the fenced back yard, trotting around the house following his human, keeping the kitchen floor free of crumbs, napping in a soft dog bed, and snuggling up with his human in bed at night.
Doogie is a senior, but shhhhh!! Don.t tell HIM that! He.s up to mile-long walks, and chasing a ball. He.s inquisitive, happy, and affectionate. This little guy is very easy to fall in love with. Older pets make wonderful pets!!! Come visit Doogie and fall in love!
