Adoptable Special Needs: Benny

— filed under:

Benny is a sweet one-year-old orange and white Turkish Angora-looking male cat (he indeed may be a pure Turkish Angora, but no one has checked) available for adoption from Dakin Pioneer Valley Humane Society (South Deerfield, Massachusetts 01373).

January 3, 2009

Benny has Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH). This means that he has limited control over his back legs. He can walk and do almost anything a normal, boring cat can do -- he just does it with flair and gusto! (Here's another sweet cat, named Charlie, who has CH.)

Benny really adores people and loves to play. His youthful exuberance makes him quite entertaining! When you come home, Benny will greet you and will welcome all toys you lavish upon him. Benny is a cuddler, so be prepared for him to curl up next to you. It's not that he's pushy -- he just enjoys the company.

Benny has lived well with both dogs and cats and should get along with either after a proper introduction. He has also gotten along well with children of all ages. Please keep Benny indoors. With his condition, going outside would be very dangerous for me.

PetWork note: Some lucky pets may already have found their forever homes by the time you meet them here, but don't worry. There are plenty of other wonderful pets who would be happy to share your home and love you to pieces.
