Adoptable Special Needs: Spooky

— filed under:

Spooky, named for her Halloween colors, is two years old and lives with her dad, mom, and her best friend, Ariel, a 150-lb Rottweiler, in Vancouver, Washington.

July 22, 2009

From day one it was obvious that Spooky was a special kitty because her two back legs did not work the way they were supposed to. She has to scoot around dragging them behind and alongside her. Although she can make it to the litter box, the target is mostly missed and she and the mess must be cleaned up. But her mom and dad love her and she has had a wonderful life.

Unfortunately circumstances have changed and a new home for Spooky must be found. Major medical issues affecting both Spooky’s dad and mom are making it difficult and approaching impossible for them to give her the extra care she needs. And on top of deteriorating health, there is a possible bankruptcy looming.

Furry Friends in Vancouver, Washington, has had Spooky spayed, examined, and brought current on shots. They have had various fundraisers to cover transportation cost and/or a possible mobility cart for her. She is a beautiful young kitty that will need a compassionate and loving home, and someone prepared to give any future medical care, although right now she is perfectly healthy.

If you would like to give Spooky the forever home she so deserves, please contact Jennifer L. Hart at jenniferlhart@hotmail.com or 360-609-4759.
