Adoptable Special Needs: Downy

— filed under:

Downy is a deaf 8-month-old male Shepherd/Pitbull mix available for adoption from A Cause for Paws (Yonkers, New York 10704).

June 7, 2009

This striking dog was going to be euthanized (the shelter was over run with too many animals) and yet is one of the happiest dogs you could ever meet. His coat is all white and softer than you can imagine (thus the name). Despite being deaf, Downy is learning hand signals and loves other dogs. Deaf dogs do very well with other dogs as they often rely on a companion as an extra set of ears.

PetWork note: Some lucky pets may already have found their forever homes by the time you meet them here, but don't worry. There are plenty of other wonderful pets who would be happy to share your home and love you to pieces.
