Adoptable Special Needs: Bartok

Bartok is a male Chihuahua/Whippet mix available for adoption from the Humane Society of Greater Kansas City (Kansas City, Kansas 66104).

March 11, 2009

Bartok is just about the sweetest little guy you'll ever meet. And certainly one of the most unique.

Bartok was brought to the HSGKC as a stray and he was extremely malnourished. He is deaf and he's also blind in one eye and has limited sight in the other.

But what a sweetheart-- he's very mild mannered and he loves to be held. He gets along great with other pets.

HSGKC is guessing that he's a Chihuahua/Whippet mix, among other breeds. He's got a white shorthair coat and giant ears-- he's named after Bartok the white bat in Anastasia! He's about 3 years old and he weighs 9 lbs now and should gain a little more weight. He has been vaccinated, micrcochipped, and tested for heartworms, and he'll be neutered before going home.

PetWork note: Some lucky pets may already have found their forever homes by the time you meet them here, but don't worry. There are plenty of other wonderful pets who would be happy to share your home and love you to pieces.
